The Return of the Milkman!

Hammerstead Farms to Start Home Delivery of Milk in Boone County

Thorntown, June 7, 2005: Hammerstead Farms is bringing the milkman back. In an arrangement with Trader’s Point Organic Creamery of Indianapolis, Hammerstead will start delivering their certified organic whole milk to customers in Lebanon, Zionsville, Thorntown, Mechanicsburg and rural Boone County. Trader’s Point Organic Whole Milk is Indiana's only locally produced creamline milk. Pasteurized for safety, but not ultrapasterized, Trader’s Point milk maintains its maximum nutritional value.

In addition to beginning milk deliveries, Hammerstead will also be carrying fresh baked French breads from Breadsmith’s of Indianapolis. These breads are hand made and hearth baked the traditional way, from only the finest all natural ingredients.

Hammerstead has been delivering farm fresh eggs to Boone County residents since January of 2005, and has seen its business grow exponentially in that time. With the many demands placed on today’s families, many Boone County residents have found that home delivery direct from the farm is a huge time saver, as well as a way to insure that they have only the freshest products in their kitchens.
